ABOUT THIS ADVENTURE
This 16-day expedition is a demanding and deeply rewarding journey into the heart of the last great Himalayan kingdom.
It is designed for the trekker who wants to experience the pristine wilderness and profound spirituality of Bhutan far from any road. This is not just a trek; it is a pilgrimage that follows the legendary first stage of the world's toughest trek- the Snowman.
Your journey begins by acclimatizing in the beautiful Paro valley, culminating in the iconic hike to the cliffside Tiger's Nest Monastery. From there, you will leave all signs of the modern world behind, trekking for seven days through the Jigme Dorji National Park.
You will camp in vast, empty valleys under the gaze of the sacred Mount Jomolhari, push your limits to cross a formidable 4,870m pass, and earn a rare welcome in the remote village of Laya, home to a unique semi-nomadic people.
The expedition concludes with a visit to the magnificent Punakha Dzong, a stunning reward for your incredible efforts.
