My
Story

I’m Monika, a lifelong traveler, seeker of the unknown, and your dedicated trip planner at Expedition Muse - Remote Travel Guru. For over 17 years, I’ve explored the world beyond the guidebooks, diving deep into cultures, landscapes, and human connections across over 60 countries- experiences no AI-generated plan can replicate. From Poland to the UK, where I’ve lived for the past 13 years, my heart roams the Mongolian steppe, the backwaters of Senegal, and beyond. I’ve slept under desert stars with Berber nomads in Algeria, sailed the remote Mentawai Islands without signal, hitchhiked the Pamir Highway, sipped fermented mare’s milk with Kyrgyz shepherds, and danced barefoot at midnight festivals in Papua New Guinea. A chance encounter with a Mongolian eagle hunter taught me the power of trust- something I bring to every handcrafted journey I plan, offering you immersion in places and moments you won’t find anywhere else.

But remote doesn’t mean rough all the time. I’ve also booked business class flights, stayed in five-star heritage riads in Morocco, and lounged poolside in Singapore, proving it’s all about intention. Whether you crave soulful simplicity or elevated indulgence, I balance both with ease.

Since I began traveling at a young age, I’ve built strong relationships with locals, fixers, guides, artisans, chefs, and storytellers who’ve become like family, allowing me to offer rare, genuine experiences the internet can’t deliver.

Imagine a multi-day trek through the Peruvian Andes, learning to cook on a tiny stove beside your tent under the stars, diving with whales off the untouched Togean Islands after island-hopping with fishermen, or picking rice in the misty hills of Sapa with a Hmong family before sharing a home-cooked meal by the fire- these are just a few possibilities when you plan with someone who doesn’t just plan travel, but lives it.

I don’t design cookie-cutter itineraries.

I craft journeys by listening, learning what moves you, and using my lived experience and trusted network to create something uniquely yours.

Let’s go far- together.

Mission

My mission is to craft deeply personal and transformative travel experiences that go far beyond the ordinary and turn your travel dreams into journeys that touch your soul, filled with moments you’ll carry with you forever.

I pour my heart into every trip I plan, taking the time to truly understand what lights you up. Whether it’s the thrill of adventure, the peace of untouched nature, or the warmth of connecting with new people. With years of exploring the world, I’ve learned what makes a journey unforgettable, and I use that knowledge to design experiences that feel personal and real, far beyond what any generic travel service can offer.

I’m here to handle every detail, from the big picture to the smallest touches, so you can step into your adventure with confidence, knowing it’s been shaped by someone who lives for travel as much as you do.

My goal is to create a space where you can fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the world, discovering places and stories that leave you changed for the better.

Vision

My vision is to spark a deeper love for travel, showing the world that the best journeys come from curiosity, heart, and a genuine connection to the places we visit. I dream of a day when more people choose to explore beyond the usual tourist spots, seeking out the hidden corners of the earth where true magic happens.

I want to inspire travelers to chase experiences that challenge them, move them, and remind them how vast and wonderful our planet is, whether that’s through a rugged hike in the wilderness or a quiet stay in a village where time seems to stand still.

By sharing the lessons I’ve learned from years of wandering, I hope to encourage a way of traveling that respects local cultures, supports small communities, and creates memories that last a lifetime.

I see a future where every trip, no matter how big or small, becomes a story worth telling, one that reflects who you are and what you hold dear.
